Consultations with clients on hairstyle possibilities. Determining a clients preferences by paying attention to their needs. Describing the advantages of various hair care products.
Hair cutting, coloring, highlighting, and shampooing. Providing services including facials, waxing, manicures, and pedicures. Performing scalp treatments.
Acting as salespeople to sell customers retail hair care items. Establishing a personal connection with customers to encourage repeat business. Observing the safety and sanitary standards of the salon.
Managing reservations and extending a warm welcome to customers. Keeping up with styling techniques and hairstyle trends. Requirements High school graduation or GED completion.
Obtaining a cosmetology school license. Prior experience as a colorist or hair stylist. A diverse range of coloring and styling methods.
