Engage students at the University of Toronto in the MSC1126H course focusing on Science Communication. Foster essential skills and career readiness for future science communicators.
The Sessional Lecturer position supports the Institute of Medical Science by teaching the course designed to enhance research communication skills among students. Responsibilities include preparing educational content and assessing student performance, ultimately guiding them to produce notable work for their portfolios. You will also hold office hours to assist students academically.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and present course material to students
• Develop, grade, and provide feedback on assignments
• Calculate and submit grades in a timely manner
• Offer regular office hours for student support
Requirements:
• PhD in biomedical science or related field required
• 5+ years of science communications experience needed
• Experience with curriculum development essential
