Gerdau Recycling Yard Supervisor Position
Job Description
Join Gerdau as a Recycling Yard Supervisor, where you will manage operations while ensuring safety and efficiency. Lead scrap material tracking and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.
This critical role reports to the Recycling Location Manager. You will oversee team performance and ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations. Previous supervisory experience and a solid background in recycling or shipping are key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Track and control incoming and outgoing scrap materials
• Supervise personnel for safe handling of scrap
• Diagnose equipment failures and reduce downtime
• Ensure optimal equipment operation and avoid repair costs
• Maintain accountability for employee performance evaluations
Requirements:
• Must have supervisory experience in recycling
• Experience in shipping preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong knowledge of applicable safety legislation
