Full-Time Manager for Recycling Centre
Job Description
Join Island Return It as a full-time Manager overseeing Vancouver and Salt Spring Island recycling centres. You’ll lead a dedicated team and promote a positive recycling culture.
As the Manager, you will ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly while creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for staff and customers. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and organizational skills to motivate your team effectively and handle cash responsibly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and oversee daily operational tasks
• Lead and train a team of 2–5 staff members
• Manage cash transactions and keep daily reports
• Address customer inquiries and implement policies
• Perform weekly pick-ups using the work truck
Requirements:
• Valid BC driver’s licence in good standing
• Forklift operator certification (training available)
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs comfortably
• Able to maintain an 8-hour standing shift
