Fibreglass Laminator / Fibreglass Repair Technician (Marine Composite Structures)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fibreglass Repair Technician to be responsible for the repair, restoration, finishing, and structural maintenance of fibreglass and composite components used in marine pleasure craft. The role involves working with fibreglass reinforced plastics (FRP), resins, gelcoats, and related composite materials to restore structural integrity and surface finish of boat hulls and marine components.

Responsibilities

• Inspect marine pleasure craft hulls, decks, and structural components for damage, cracks, delamination, and wear
• Perform structural fibreglass repair on boats using composite materials such as fiberglass mat, woven roving, epoxy, and polyester resins
• Prepare damaged surfaces by grinding, sanding, cleaning, and shaping areas for repair
• Apply fibreglass layers, resin, and reinforcement materials to restore structural strength
