Job Description
Join MPI as an Experienced Legal Counsel with a strong emphasis on civil litigation. This role is designed for those adept in managing complex legal challenges and mentoring upcoming legal talent.
You will be responsible for handling complex general litigation in Manitoba courts and managing administrative tribunal appeals. This position also includes leading detailed legal research and preparing seminars to enrich MPI's legal understanding. You will have a mentorship role, providing guidance to junior counsel and articling students as they advance their legal knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee complex general litigation at Manitoba courts
• Handle appeals before AICAC and other tribunals
• Lead extensive legal research and problem-solving
• Conduct legal seminars for MPI staff
• Mentor and advise less experienced legal staff
