Job Description
Become an Exercise Specialist I at MacEwan University’s Sport and Wellness department. Deliver fitness assessments and training programs while supporting diverse clientele in a casual setting.
This role requires executing health assessments, leading group classes, and working collaboratively with patrons, including students and the public. You will also engage in fitness program design and oversee day-to-day operations of the fitness areas at the MacEwan Centre for Sport & Wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver fitness and health assessments per CSEP guidelines
• Conduct specialized testing for various populations
• Instruct diverse group fitness classes
• Act as a liaison with medical professionals for client care
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of fitness areas
Requirements:
• Minimum 2-year diploma in physical education or health
• At least 6 months of fitness work experience
• CSEP-CPT or ACSM-CPT certification required
