English Teacher (Grades 7-12)

Location: Ajax, Ontario. Employment type: Part‑time. Pay: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour.

We are seeking a part‑time English teacher to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 or 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with potential Saturday morning sessions (9:00–1:00 PM) during the school year. The role is in‑person; applicants must be able to commute to the Oxford Learning Ajax centre. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Position Requirements

• Teaching at Grade 7‑12 or equivalent experience.
• Strong English written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work with up to three students at a time.
• Experience teaching or tutoring at the high school level (or equivalent); tutoring experience as a fourth‑year university student is welcome.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
