NATURE OF WORK

This position performs professional engineering duties related to the City’s water, wastewater, drainage, and transportation systems. This position focuses on the review and approval of proposed engineering works and performs engineering analysis. This position reports to a Senior Engineer in the Servicing and Infrastructure Approval Branch.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare preliminary designs for water, wastewater, drainage, and transportation system projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, plans and applications from engineering consultants and developers to make sure they meet City specifications.
• Prepare technical and business reports for presentations, public responses, internal memos and other documents.
• Represent the Department and participate in meetings of Committee and Council, other departments, public meetings and meetings with consultants and contractors.
