Energy Engineer

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Energy and Sustainability, the Energy Engineer will manage and implement a portfolio-wide Energy Management Plan (EMP). The role includes working closely with Facility Managers, Maintenance Supervisors, Project Specialists, Finance, contractors, consultants, and the client to advance energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across the organization.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead energy audits and benchmarking analyses to identify and prioritize buildings for audits and energy efficiency interventions.
• Conduct energy analysis of utility and meter data, develop building‑specific energy efficiency measures, and calculate associated savings.
• Identify and recommend building retrofit projects, including deep energy retrofit studies, re‑commissioning, and carbon neutral initiatives.
