This role ensures a safe, respectful, and supportive environment, addressing the immediate needs of shelter residents while promoting their transition to stable housing. Emergency Shelter Workers act as a bridge between clients and community resources, fostering empowerment and independence.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working in a shelter, social service, or crisis intervention environment is an asset.
