Emergency Medicine Physician (Antigonish)

Position Summary

St. Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, is seeking an emergency medicine physician to join staff. This role may be permanent full‑time, part‑time, or a locum, with flexible shift options and opportunities to engage in research and teaching with Dalhousie University. The position is located in a Level 2 Emergency Department serving a community of approximately 60,000 residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide full scope of practice as an emergency physician in the eastern zone of the hospital.
• Report to the Zone Department Head for Emergency Medicine and adhere to the Nova Scotia Health Authority Medical Staff Bylaws.
• Work full‑time, part‑time, or locum shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
