Pembroke is known as the Heart of the Ottawa Valley. We have a strong sense of community here which has attracted most of our local doctors to stay. We enjoy the rural life with great access to the Ottawa River but we are also just a drive away from city luxuries as we are located just northwest of the City of Ottawa.
The PRH ED is a community ED that sees your classic bread and butter emergency medicine cases, with approximately 30,000 annual visits. We manage a wide range of complexity and high level acuity. Our ED core group is a collegial bunch! We are complemented by a mix of FRCP EMs, CCFP EMs and CCFPs with a long history of emergency medicine experience.
Our Emergency Department is divided into two zones. Zone A is where you will see CTAS 1–3 patients and zone B is where you will see primarily CTAS 4–5 patients. During this Restricted Registration Program you will be working in zone A exclusively. <...
