The opportunity

Work in a busy rural hospital that is the epicentre of its region and is the major referral centre for nine other remote health facilities and clinics in the region. Gain experience in trauma to those caused by mining and farming accidents as well as road accidents. In a hospital with a total of 80 beds. It is the referral hospital for the North West region which sees approximately 28,000 to 32,000 presentations per annum.

The location

The city of Mt Isa sprung up due to the vast mineral deposits found in the area, with Mt Isa Mines being one of the most productive mines in the world. Backed up against the Leichhardt River and hidden between the Selwyn Ranges it is a stunning location that cannot be missed.
