Northeast Community Network (NeCN) is a not-for-profit focused on inspiring and helping all communities in Northeastern Ontario to thrive. Its purpose is to make an impact that matters. NeCN works collaboratively to find imaginative ways to build upon four economic pillars: forestry, mining, agriculture, and tourism, aiming to ensure economic sustainability to support community growth and affordability.

Typical Day

• Identify and overcome barriers to development
• Deliver projects on time and on budget according to the Workplan
• Build relationships with a wide array of stakeholders
• Create and present content for different audiences

Experience and Abilities

• Undergraduate degree in economic development, business, public administration, urban planning, or a related field (degree is an asset)
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in economic or business development
