Be a key leader in OEG Sports & Entertainment as the Director of Accounting, overseeing all financial operations for the Edmonton Oilers and associated entities. Ensure compliance and accurate reporting under IFRS guidelines.
This critical role reports to the Vice President of Accounting and involves managing the complete accounting cycle for the Edmonton Oilers and other franchises. You'll be responsible for delivering timely financial statements and enhance the efficiency of accounting processes. Strong management experience is essential for mentoring your team and collaborating across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure timely financial close procedures across OEG companies
• Prepare monthly financial statement packages for stakeholders
• Perform balance sheet reviews and ensure accurate postings
• Lead accounting team and improve reporting processes
• Collaborate on consolidated IFRS reporting and budget preparations
