We are looking for compassionate Direct Support Specialists to complement our Specialized Community Services team in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.
Locations
Portage La Prairie – a small city located approximately 75 km west of Winnipeg along the Trans‑Canada Highway, midway between Saskatchewan and Ontario.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, Direct Support Specialists will maintain and promote physical care, menu planning and preparation, medication administration, personal care, activities of daily living, day‑to‑day house management, record keeping, and more. They will support individuals by promoting their involvement with family, friends, advocates, and the community to ensure comfort, safety, and health requirements are met. Specialists will encourage participants to develop skills and abilities to maximize control over their own lives.
