Job Description
Overview
The Department of Critical Care at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) seeks an intensivist. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in British Columbia; preference is given to those with Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification or eligibility.
Post Details
Minimum 0.5 FTE. 8 weeks per year, alternating 24‑hour calls between the two physicians on a Monday‑Sunday schedule. ICU: 10 beds, closed unit, covering all medical and surgical critical care except cardiac surgery and neurosurgery.
Responsibilities
- Provide full intensivist care for all ICU patients, including point‑of‑care ultrasound, bedside tracheostomy, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
