Job Description
Jean Tweed is a leading, community-based organization that provides a supportive environment for women with substance use, mental health, and gambling concerns. Recognizing the diversity of women's experience in today's society, our programs seek to address a range of issues in a woman's life that may contribute to substance use and gambling concerns.
The continuing care and trauma programs provide therapeutic support to women who struggle with substance use and/or problem gambling and have experienced some type of trauma in their lives. The programs provide individual and group counselling for women using a range of supportive counselling and therapeutic techniques including psychotherapy and education. The role also involves liaising with other professionals to create treatment plans for a broad range of substance use issues. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Clinical and Outpatient Services.
