Overview – Consultant ENT Surgeon (Rhinology, Paediatrics)
We are seeking an experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon with an interest in Rhinology and paediatric otolaryngology to join the team at University Hospital Monklands. The role will span NHS Lanarkshire and involves clinical duties, teaching, research and leadership within the department.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the on‑call rota and provide outpatient and procedural care for ENT services.
- Develop personal clinical expertise through a structured 10‑practice‑area (10 PA) plan and potential extra EPAs for additional sessions.
- Lead teaching activities for undergraduate and postgraduate trainees, and contribute to the West of Scotland Training Scheme.
- Advance research and quality improvement initiatives in rhinology, paediatrics, and ENT surgery.
- Support patient safety, human factors training, and medical education programmes within NHS Lanarkshire. ...
