Job Description
Become a vital advocate for students with the Ilinniarvimmi Inuusiliriji role, supporting education and community collaboration. This position fosters student success and cultural relevance in the community.
Reporting directly to the Principal, the community resource person plays a crucial role in linking students, parents, and the community with the school environment. With five years of community-level experience, the incumbent provides counseling and promotes understanding between home and educational settings. This role emphasizes the importance of education and champions increased student attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as liaison between community, home, school, and student
• Counsel and guide students on educational matters
• Promote education's relevance within the community
• Foster understanding and collaboration between stakeholders
• Support student attendance and confidence building
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
