Community Donation Bin Operator
Job Description
Support diabetes initiatives as a Community Donation Bin Operator. As an Independent Contractor, manage collection and storage of gently used items from multiple donation bins in your area.
This role offers the flexibility of part-time hours dedicated to emptying bins and keeping collection sites clean. You will also bag items, log your services, and transport donations as needed. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs is required for this essential work supporting the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Regular collection of items from donation bins
• Maintain cleanliness in collection areas
• Keep detailed weekly service logs
• Transport goods to appropriate storage
• Meet with drivers for item loading
Requirements:
• Valid driver's license required
• Must use a large vehicle (e.g., van, pickup)
• Lift capacity of up to 50 lbs frequently
• Will need to acquire an HST #
• Estimated earnings of $500–$700 bi-weekly
