Community Development Associate

The Southern Gulf Islands Community Resource Centre is hiring a Community Development Associate to support summer programs that strengthen local food security, engage youth and volunteers, and promote environmental protection across the islands. This role offers hands‑on experience in community development, sustainability initiatives, outreach, and nonprofit operations.

Key Responsibilities

Food Security & Local Food System Support

• Coordinate and co-host the Co-op Sales Table at the Saturday Farmers Market.
• Liaise with market and community hall managers to ensure smooth operations.
• Promote local food initiatives through social media, photos, and outreach materials.
