Overview
The Commercial Banking Director manages multiple teams through other managers. A thorough understanding of how the sub-function contributes to the objectives of the function, with knowledge of the industry and competitors, is required to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires understanding of the strategic direction of the function within the business area, paired with a solid grounding in the function and related subject areas. Excellent internal and external communication skills are required to negotiate at a senior level. Responsible for executing the functional strategy in the area managed and determining the approach to implementing it. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation, and contributing to future strategy of the area(s).
