Job Description
Embark on a clinical externship with NVA at Southview Animal Hospital. Experience diverse veterinary practices and collaborate with a team devoted to exceptional animal care and medicine.
This externship invites 3rd and 4th-year students to immerse themselves in daily veterinary operations. Work hands-on with a large management team while performing clinical tasks such as examinations and treatment planning. Build communication skills as you engage with staff and clients, and take part in collaborative learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in gathering patient histories and executing exams
• Create treatment plans and observe/perform surgical procedures
• Work alongside experienced veterinary technicians
• Participate in daily team huddles and mentorship programs
• Experience advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
