Lead engine room operations as Chief Engineer with Marine Atlantic. This pivotal role requires expertise in maintenance, team leadership, and safety management for our vessels operating year-round in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
Marine Atlantic is seeking a Chief Engineer S&R for permanent full-time positions aboard vessels. Join our dedicated team focusing on maintenance activities and ensure the safety of equipment and personnel. You will lead the engine room department while managing key operational tasks across our fleet, especially during peak summer season.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead maintenance activities of onboard equipment
• Manage engine room and electrical division staff
• Promote a safety culture throughout the vessels
• Develop and maintain environmental management programs
• Oversee budget, supply chain, and human resource functions
