The opportunity:

YMCA facilitators will encourage students to envision, create and enact initiatives and programs that tackle a community problem like homelessness, poverty, hunger, mental health, physical health, social isolation, environmental sustainability to increase the well‑being of our communities. Students will use their voice, critical thinking skills, problem‑solving skills, and communication skills to initiate change through a genuine desire to make a difference.

Launched in 2025, the Youth Changemaker Leadership program is a weeklong summer initiative designed to inspire and equip young people with the skills, confidence, and mindset to create meaningful change in their schools and communities. Secured funding now supports the expansion of this...
