Casual Education Assistant

Job Summary

 The primary responsibility of the Education Assistant is to provide support for students with special needs under the supervision of a classroom teacher. This position is ideal for individuals who are flexible and available to work on short notice. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instructional support to individual students or small groups. Assist students with personal, behavioral, and communication needs. Supervise and/or assist with personal care, hygiene, and toileting as required. Administer medical needs as instructed. Prepare and modify instructional materials as directed by the teacher. Collaborate with the school-based team in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Accompany students on field trips and life skills programs. Perform other duties as assigned, including noon-hour supervision.
