Job Summary
Cardiovascular/Electrophysiology Technologist I assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac disease in the EP procedure arena, specializing in the care of patients undergoing basic diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures and cardiac device implantations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the sterile field, including all necessary catheters, wires, sheaths, mapping systems, ablation tools (RF, PFA and cryo), implants (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT), and emergency equipment.
- Scrub in and assist the physician at the sterile field with catheter manipulation, device preparation, troubleshooting equipment, and passing instruments/supplies efficiently.
- Anticipate physician needs based on procedure type and real‑time hemodynamic/electrical data.
- Monitor, interpret, and document intracardiac electrograms (EGMs), surface ECGs, and hemodynamic parameters (e.g., blood pressure, oxygen saturation).
