Become a vital part of patient recovery as a Cardiac Surgery Hospitalist at VGH. This part-time position allows you to manage critical care for post-operative patients starting July 1, 2026.
As a Cardiac Surgery Hospitalist in Vancouver General Hospital, you will oversee the care of patients recovering from critical cardiac surgeries. This role provides flexibility with 7–10 shifts monthly, including weekends and no night or on-call responsibilities. You will handle a variety of post-operative complications while working alongside a dedicated healthcare team committed to patient recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage patient care in an acute cardiac ward
• Address and treat post-op complications like acute kidney injury
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams for optimal recovery
• Develop individualized care plans with a focus on discharge
• Assess patients' progress through continuous monitoring
