McMaster University is seeking outstanding researchers specializing in energy systems management for consideration as Canada Excellence Research Chairs (CERC) nominees. The successful candidate will enhance the school’s research efforts in optimization and planning within renewable energy, distributed energy resources, microgrids, and energy economics and policy.

Eligible nominees must be full professors or associate professors expected to be promoted to full professor within one or two years of the nomination. Candidates from outside the academic sector must possess the qualifications required for appointment at these levels. Researchers holding a full-time academic appointment at a Canadian institution are eligible, provided they are not currently at the nominating institution and the institution demonstrates a net benefit to the country by moving the researcher between Canadian institutions...
