Job Description
Shape the future of telecommunications infrastructure with a CAD Outside Plant Designer role based in Bedford, Nova Scotia. This contract position focuses on planning, designing, and drafting external telecom networks.
As an Outside Plant Designer, you will specialize in CAD and create route designs, construction drawings, and ensure compliance with engineering standards and customer specifications. You will work closely with teams to resolve project challenges and conduct necessary surveys.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft using AutoCAD and similar software
• Transpose designs across various databases
• Peer review comprehensive drawing packages
• Read and interpret fiber network designs
• Collaborate with teams to develop optimal solutions
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Willingness to travel and work more than 40 hours weekly
• 1–3 years in technical drawing and design documentation
• Knowledge of QGIS, AutoCAD, and similar tools
