Job Description

The General Services Waiter is an entry-level professional responsible for performing support tasks to ensure a positive dining experience, in coordination with the Corporate Services function. The overall objective is to work as part of a team to engage customers, complete tasks efficiently and accurately, and mitigate potential issues and customer complaints.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and serve customers, provide detailed information on menus, perform front-of-the-house duties and collect the bill
  • Provide detailed menu information when asked ( about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
  • Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations ( parties)
  • Inform customers about the day’s specials and offer menu recommendations upon request; pp-sell additional products when appropriate
  • Take accurate food and drinks orders, using ordering software, order slips ...
