Metalegal Advocates is looking to engage and retain an Associate (Advocate/Chartered Accountant) for its practice in Taxation - Litigation and Advisory. Engagement Profile The role would primarily involve: Advising clients on matters relating to Direct and Indirect Taxation (Income Tax, GST, Customs, etc.); Providing legal counsel on tax disputes, compliance issues, and regulatory proceedings; Drafting appeals, replies, petitions, applications, rejoinders, legal advisories, memos, and other court documents; Managing extensive case documentation with a professional approach, and adapting quickly to digital tools such as Zoho and Microsoft Teams; Supporting clients through litigation, investigations, quasi-judicial proceedings, and general tax advisory matters; Conducting legal research and handling filings before tax authorities and tribunals in coordination with clerks and support staff; Contributing to the ...
