Associate Physician (Board Eligible)

The Associate Physician (Board Eligible) reports directly to the clinical Vice Chair and Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and exercises a peer relationship with other faculty, residents, fellows, medical students, nursing personnel, and ancillary personnel in the role of patient care. It is the expectation that physicians will work in a collegial manner combining clinical duties with instruction of residents, medical students, and certified registered nurse anesthetists. This position requires a thorough comprehension of the complex interactions between physiology, pathology, co-morbid medical conditions, pharmacology and procedural disruptions of homeostasis as such comprehension underlies the safe and effective practice of the discipline of anesthesiology.
