The Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science, invites applications for a tenure-track professorial-stream appointment in statistics at the Assistant Professor level, to commence July 1, 2019. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in Statistics, a proven record of independent researchexcellence, and evidence of excellence or the promise of excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an excellent and innovative research program, building on the current strengths of the Department. Outstanding candidates in any area of statistics will be considered with particular emphasis on machine learning, high dimensional data analysis, data science and artificial intelligence.
