Aquatic Ecologist

Based in Huntsville, the Aquatic Ecologist will report to the Environmental Department Lead and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on environmental assessment, species at risk, and aquatic studies. You will be part of a team that provides practical ecological solutions to industry, government, and private sectors. This is a new position. The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $78,000.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and perform effective aquatic habitat and aquatic biota surveys to meet applicable regulatory or project specific requirements
• Record clear and concise field data under varied conditions including inclement weather and throughout the evening
• Conduct fish and fish habitat assessments using a variety of gear and sampling techniques in a range of aquatic environments
