Description

:Refinement of reading skills and strategies with regards to a variety of different types of extended texts relevant to the university workplace such as reports. Introduction to critical reading and analysis of idea development. Practice in recognizing tone, intent, bias, and attitude. Development and organization of expository prose in English of the workplace in formal and informal registers. Practice in achieving appropriateness and accuracy of expression; vocabulary development.

From July 6 to August 10, 2026 (no course on August 3); Monday and Wednesday 12:00pm to 1:30pm. Please note that this course is given online (virtual mode).
