EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY POSITION: Anishinaabemowin Specialist Instructor (Flexible Schedules – Full-time/Part-time) SALARY: $33.34/hour Anishinaabemowin Specialist Instructors work under the direct supervision of the school Principal, and the general supervision of the Superintendent of Academics. They are responsible for integrating Anishinaabemowin language and Anishinaabe worldviews into classroom instruction, supporting both students and teachers in language acquisition and cultural learning.RESPONSIBILITIES: Use Anishinaabemowin throughout the day in the classroom. Model and mentor Anishinaabemowin with the assigned classroom teacher to indirectly improve teacher acquisition of Anishinaabemowin. Collaborate with classroom teachers, the Anishinaabemowin coach, and the Land-Based Learning Coach to integrate Anishinaabemowin, Anishinaabe Worldviews, culture, and traditional ways of knowing into all subject areas.
