Aircraft Stress Engineer
Job Description
- Perform stress analysis of aircraft structures using FEM tools and classical methods.
- Evaluate static strength, fatigue, and damage tolerance at the aircraft level.
- Prepare stress reports and documentation for certification authorities (FAA, EASA, DGCA).
- Collaborate with design, loads, aerodynamics, and manufacturing teams to optimize structural layouts.
- Support ground and flight test programs, correlating analytical predictions with test results.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and review their analysis work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft stress analysis or structural engineering.
- Strong knowledge of fatigue, fracture mechanics, and composite analysis.
- Proficiency in FEM tools (e.g., NASTRAN, HyperMesh).
