Aircraft Component Shop Technician - YTZ

Job Summary

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the Shop Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of aircraft parts and components.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repair and maintenance on aircraft parts and components such as aircraft batteries, wheels, leading edges, engines, propellers, auxiliary power units and commissary equipment.
• Perform maintenance under the supervision of the Shop Lead ACA to the level required to obtain a Shop Certification Authority (SCA).
• Complete and certify repair orders.
• Ensure that all documentation used for the repair of parts/components are to the latest amendment (aircraft batteries, tires and wheels).
• Ensure safety rules, regulations and precautions are being observed by all employees.
• Ensure the shop is tidy at the end of the shift.
• Maintain shop equipment/tools in good working condition.
