ADVISOR, PROPERTY TAX – FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES

The First Nations Tax Commission (FNTC) is seeking an Advisor, Property Tax to provide support to First Nations communities on the development and implementation of property tax systems, supporting the review of laws and by-laws under the First Nations Fiscal Management Act (FMA) and section 83 of the Indian Act . The role contributes directly to reviewing laws and by-laws for consistency with the FMA and Indian Act property taxation frameworks and the FNTC policies and standards.

The Advisor works closely with a wide range of internal and external partners, including the Registrar, First Nations Tax Administrators, and Senior Advisors, and participates often in activities, such as presentations and meetings, to promote the benefits and understanding of property taxation and services that the First Nations Tax Commission (FNTC) provides.
