Job Summary

The Pastoral Care Clinician identifies, organizes and assists with pastoral care and ethics services for patients, families and/or staff for acute care, long term care and community programs. Support services include visitation, pastoral care, grief and bereavement, and crisis intervention in emergencies. The Pastoral Care Clinician assists and supports denominational chaplains in their involvement with patients and families; provides compassionate spiritual care in a multifaith and multicultural context; liaises within a comprehensive network of internal disciplines, programs, and external agencies that facilitate the continuum of care; supports and participates in discipline-specific education and liaises with educational organizations; participates and represents the discipline of pastoral care in team meetings; participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of approved Pastoral Care and Ethics goals, objectives and strateg...
