Job Description
Position Summary
Dalhousie University invites applications for the position of Instructor in Landscape Architecture within the Department of Plant, Food and Environmental Sciences (PFES). This is a 1‑year, full‑time, limited‑term appointment (100% FTE) from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. The incumbent will fulfill teaching (80%) and service (20%) responsibilities.
Teaching and Service Duties
- Instruct in‑person courses, including two design studio courses on Site Design and Urban Design.
- Cover course topics such as Landscape Theory, Environmental Processes, and landscape architecture topics related to AutoCAD and/or Professional Practice.
- Advising students in landscape‑horticulture programs.
- Development of landscape‑horticulture programs.
- Participating in program outreach activities.
- Professional development.
- Other related duties.
